Flexing our flexibility: the low down on being a Flexa Verified business

That’s why we’ve partnered with Flexa, they provide an independent review process for businesses, so you can see just how flexible they are. We’re proud to be a Flexa Verified Business.

Our vision of work is spending more quality time with loved ones, prioritising exercise and wellbeing over commuting, and starting your day with clarity rather than the chaos of rush-hour traffic.

It’s no wonder that flexible working tops the list of employee demands, with a staggering 92% expressing a desire for more flexibility.

At Flume we’re a fully remote team, which can enable greater flexibility, but we wanted to ensure that our actions aligned with our beliefs and that our employees felt our workplace was as flexible as we envisioned it to be.

So, what did it take to become Flexa Verified Business?

We submitted our flexible working options to Flexa, and our employees were taken through an anonymous survey. Each individual rated six key indicators: location, hours, role modelling, benefits, work-life balance, and autonomy, giving us a Flexified score.

And the results are in… drumroll please 🥁 We achieved an impressive Flexa score of 94% 🙌🏽

Breaking Down Flume’s 94% Flexa Score.

We far surpassed the 50% threshold required to be a Flexa Verified Business, we’re delighted with our results. Only 33% of businesses who apply to Flexa pass its flexification criteria. It’s heartwarming to see that our efforts to cultivate a supportive work environment have been acknowledged and felt by our team. Here are our scores in each area Flexa measures:

  • Location 100% – Employees are very happy with their working location freedom.
  • Hours 97% – Employees are very happy with the flexibility in the hours they work.
  • Role modelling 97% – Employees feel that flexible working is part of the culture.
  • Autonomy 94% – Employees feel they have complete autonomy over getting their work done.
  • Benefits 88% – Employees are very happy with the benefits their company offers.
  • Work-life balance 84% – Employees feel that they can find the perfect balance of life and work.
